Introducing Niagara's
New Elite Series
Solid Carbide End Mills

Niagara Cutter has added six new High Performance Solid Carbide End Mills to its product line. The new ELITE Series is designed for higher feeds and speeds, reduced edge chipping and longer tool life. ELITE end mills are application specific with three styles designed to machine aluminum and three styles designed to machine stainless steel and high temperature alloys. To produce this premium series of carbide end mills, Niagara has combined specially selected cemented carbide material and application specific tool geometry.

The special cemented carbide tool material used for the ELITE Series is an ultra pure mixture of extra fine grain tungsten carbide and cobalt that provides these tools with toughness, strength and ability to withstand abrasive wear. Precision grinding of ELITE's high performance flute geometry to an exacting tolerance produces a top quality carbide end mill that delivers consistent high performance.

The ELITE Series is offered with six standard high performance designs:

For Aluminum
A245 2 Flute Single-End with 45° Helix
AB245 2 Flute Ball-End with 45° Helix
A345 3 Flute Single-End with 45° Helix

For Stainless Steel and High
Temperature Alloys
S335 3 Flute Single-End with 35° Helix
SB335 3 Flute Ball-End with 35° Helix
S545 Multi-Flute Single-End with 45° Helix

Niagara recommends coating all ELITE Series carbide end mills with Niagara Microshield HH (TiAlN) or HP (TiCN) for the best tool life and cutting performance. Use of Microshield HH also makes the ELITE Series an effective choice for dry or low lubricant machining applications. In addition, Microshield HH (TiAlN) is recommended for (HSM) High Speed Machining applications and the machining of hardened materials.

Two New Additions to A337 High Speed Steel Series For Aluminum
We've added the ACB337 Chipbreaker / Rougher and the ALL337 Left Hand End Mill to the Niagara Cutter A337 Series of High Speed Steel End Mills. These high performance tools feature advanced geometry that provides optimal performance for the demanding requirements of milling aluminum and other nonferrous metal. The Chipbreaker / Rougher provides excellent chip evacuation and superior surface finish, and is ideal for long axial cuts. The Left Hand End Mill provides left hand spiral and left hand cut capabilities.

Niagara Expands In-House Coating Capacity
Niagara Cutter's experience in improving tool life and performance with PVD coatings goes back almost 20 years to the first introduction of TiN coated HSS end mills in America. Today Niagara continues to offer customers the latest developments in coated tool technology from an in-house coating center that is the most modern and advanced in North America.

Niagara's coating center, located at the end mill factory in Pennsylvania, was recently expanded to add capacity and the newest PVD coatings available. Customers can expect fast delivery for any Microshield coated tool, whether it is General Purpose TiN or the latest version of TiAlN for high speed machining or dry cutting.
