Weldon Flats

• Tool holders have a significant impact on tool life and performance. Holder rigidity, run-out and gripping force are all critical in milling applications

• When using traditional end-mill holders that use a set screw for gripping the tool. It’s important to have a Weldon flat ground on the shank of the tool.

• Hand ground flats don’t have a precision ground surface and can result in tool slippage and excessive run-out.

• Factory flats are always the best for maximum performance and value!
