(F Series) The Single Angle Cutter
Single angle milling cutters have peripheral cutting edges on the conical surface (angle) and on the side adjacent to the largest diameter. They have 0 degree radial rake and 0 degree axial rake angles and are ground with slight concavity to prevent dragging in the cut. There are 40 (forty) standard single angle cutters manufactured by Niagara compared to eight in the industry. The 32 additional sizes are in 4", 5" & 6" diameter, allowing the tool engineer to utilize single angle cutters on the same arbor with standard side mills, plain mills and form relieved cutters for chamfering operations in a standard gang. They are standard in 45 degee and 60 degree included angle, left and right hand.
