SPECIAL HALF SIDE INTERLOCKING COARSE PITCH
The special half side coarse pitch interlocking design in Figure 43 has alternate right and left hand helix angles offset as in a staggered tooth cutter. The large inner hubs provide maximum rigidity. Special tooth form is incorporated with coarse pitch and free cutting action to provide an interlocking design well suited for deep slotting, heavy feed rates and good size control.
A basic characteristic of the half side mill interlock is that it has a large overlap permitting a maximum range of width and maximum resharpening.
